TDI / SDI
TDI and SDI have some exciting programs to either get you started in diving or to expand your diving horizons.
Scuba Diving International
Scuba Diving International is leading the scuba diving industry in online Open Water Diver courses. If your schedule is tight, or if you just want to complete the classroom portion of your Basic Open Water Course online in the comfort of your own home; this is a great option for you. Once you have completed the online course, you can then complete the pool portion of your program at Denver Divers.
The semi private SDI pool sessions required to prepare you for your certification dives consists of 1 – 3 SDI online students and an SDI Instructor; with this option the class costs is $250.00. A regular private class costs $350.00. So this is a great saving compared to a regular private open water diver course with in-house classroom sessions.
The SDI pool sessions must be done with an SDI Instructor so the semi private SDI pool sessions can be scheduled at the convenience of the students and instructor.

Technical Diving International
Currently I have completed the TDI Nitrox and Advanced Nitrox classes. I teach the TDI Nitrox class as well as the SDI and SSI Nitrox classes.
TDI Nitrox is an entry level course for divers wishing to dive with Enriched Air Nitrox as breathing gas. You will learn the proper procedures for diving with EAN 21 to EAN 40. Your class will also cover equipment considerations, cylinder labeling, and analyzing nitrox mixes.
I have also taken the TDI Advanced Nitrox class. The TDI Advanced Nitrox class qualifies you to dive with Enriched Air Nitrox mixes from EAN 21 through EAN100 to a depth of 130 feet. The course will cover topics such as Equipment Requirements, Dive Planning, Oxygen Tracking, and Blending Methods. The TDI Advanced Nitrox class also increases your knowledge of dive planning and consumption rates.
My next class will be the Decompression Procedures class. The Decompression Procedures class prepares you for diving with planned decompression stops. Topics covered in this class are: kit set-up, equipment requirements, decompression techniques, decompression breathing gases, gas management, and contingency planning.
This year I also plan on taking the TDI Advanced Wreck Diving Course. The Course will teach proper line handling skills, overhead emergency requirements, redundant equipment requirements, locating and identifying wrecks, hazards of wreck diving, and surveying wrecks.
Between teaching classes and taking new classes it is certainly going to be a busy year. If you are interested in exploring the above-mentioned courses, please contact me, as I can assist you to get you started.
Safe Diving,
John Route
